It is only day 1 with the Duo Plus but so far I am very happy with it. I tried a Ninja Foodie but it tripped my circuit breaker every five minutes so I returned it. I also did not like the fact that the lid was attached and would be very hard to clean. The Ninja was extremely heavy! I did love the lit up display.

I have an old instant pot but I had to find my reading glasses and turn on bright lights to use the settings.
Enter the Duo Pot with it’s brightly lit easy to read display! And a knob to turn instead of poking the screen a multitude of times to change a setting. It also has preset buttons. The lid is extremely easy to clean.

It came with a stainless inner pot instead of the usual teflon pot as in the Ninja Foodie. I don’t use those so this saved me having to buy a stainless steel pot. After cooking beans, the teflon is stained and almost impossible to clean. I can use steel wool in the stainless pot and make it look new.

Another great feature that the Ninja does not have, is the ‘button’ to release the steam located away from the steam vent. Gotta love that! No more accidentally forgetting to turn the steam vent into the correct position.. that same switch locks in the correct place. The steam release was very quiet!

I am assuming this new IP will last a long time since my old IP is still working fine after many years.
I recommend this especially for ‘beginners’ because of the step by step instructions on the screen as well as the steam ‘button’ which makes it more safe.
